Dinner Tonight: Boneless Pork Ribs in the Slow Cooker

Have you ever had a boneless pork rib? Well, I hadn't!  My mom made these the other day for us and it was love at first bite.  Everyone loves eating ribs but they're so messy that it's not exactly a weeknight meal kind of thing.  These guys are boneless, so you can just cut them with your fork...no mess!  My kids loved them too!!  I had neer seen them in the grocery store but my mom insisted that if I asked the butcher, he would have them in the back...and he did!  So, don't look for them in the meat case, go right to the butcher and ask for them...but...you want to hear the best part of all...there are only 2 ingredients to this dinner.  That's right, two.  Look out, you'll be eating ribs all the time now.

Shopping List
2 pounds boneless pork ribs
1 large jar of BBQ sauce (plus a little for dipping)

Place ribs in your slow cooker and pour entire jar of BBQ sauce over them (you might want to save a little for dipping later).  Cook on low 8-12 hours or on high 5 hours.

That's it!  No browning, no long list of ingredients...just two things in your slow cooker.  And they're sooooooo good and tender.  My hubs doesn't even really like pork but he had two servings of these guys.

Does the meat need to be thawed for these cooking times or can it be frozen?

Hi Amy! The meat does not need to be thawed before placing it in your slow cooker. If you put it in there frozen, just increase your cooking time by about 2 hours or cook them on high 5-6 hours. Enjoy!

Yum! I have boneless pork chops in the freezer now - think those would work just as well? I may try it. LOVE meal planning Mondays!

These are amazing! I love using the country style boneless ribs. I toss them in the crockpot with the BBQ sauce and let them cook til they fall apart and then use the sauce in the crock to drizzle over baked potatoes dressed in butter ... SO YUMMY!! And, if there are ribs left over, we shred them up in the sauce and put them on buns the next day for an easy pulled pork BBQ sandwich with some cole slaw. EASY!
